Nan Sweeney Duvall

Nan Sweeney Duvall, age 52, of Chapel Hill, died Saturday, January 14, 2012. A native of Marshall County, Mrs. Duvall was a daughter of the late William Akin Sweeney and Nancy Ross Clyde Sweeney. She was formerly a sportswriter for the Lewisburg Tribune, a member of the Forrest School Alumni Association and a member of Promise United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Tony Sweeney. Survivors include her husband, Rickey Duvall of Chapel Hill; a daughter, Mindy (Dustin) Duvall Barton of Chapel Hill; a son Aaron (Angel) Duvall of Chapel Hill; a sister, Amy (Homer) Jones of Chapel Hill; 3 grandchildren, Austin, Akin and Alyssa Duvall; and a special friend, Billy Sexton.
